Fujifilm has not indicated the exact price of the JV series cameras as they only state that the range starts from Rs. 7,799. So we are assuming that JV100 must be priced at Rs. 7,799 and JV150 a bit costlier than that.

Desktop Laptop Desk for Giant Freaks
As concepts go, most designs stand on their own merit and need nothing else to exist for them to hopefully one day go into production. Then there are the more rare concept designs that are completely dependent on yet other concepts to be created in order for the first to exist. Got that? So now that we got that out of the way, check out the “DesCom” by Sung-kyu Nam. Completely dependent on the existence of a giant Samsung media centric laptop computer, this laptop desk beautifully and simply integrates the computer (almost) seamlessly into the desktop surface. Looks great when all together, but when the computer is gone you are left with a desk that has the only distinction of having an uneven surface. I love the idea but I think the negative surface created by the absence of the computer needs to be filled in or have another use. What do you think?

- Express Card Slot
- VGA port
- RJ-45
- Headphone and microphone
- Weight: 3.12 lbs.
- Dimensions: 1.00" x 11.7" x 8.6"
Conclusion
The Latitude XT is a solid tablet with a great display. It is very expensive though. Many users complained about the price and Dell says it is targeted toward the business market not consumers. This may be true, but it still seems a bit pricey for the business market as well. The XT can compete with Toshibas M700 or even Lenovos X61. Yes, the N-trig, dual touch technology is a huge plus and taking notes and using your finger are almost flawless, but the price is way above its competitors.
The XT comes with a nice array of ports and has plenty of optional accessories. The slice battery gives it all day power and the MediaBase gives you an optical drive and more ports then I could ever use. It seems Dell is already talking about updating the XT by November 2008 as well, so I guess we will see what the XT2 has to offer.
Pros
- Dual touch technology, capacitive touch
- LED backlit display
- Solid keyboard
- Solid pen with pressure sensitive nibs
- Great battery life with slice battery
- Tons of accessory options
Cons
- Dull design, but business like
- Expensive $$$
- Eraser on pen is a button, feels awkward
- Latch doesnt lock lid

Build and Design
To the naked eye very little has changed with the overall design of the ThinkPad T410 compared to past models. It still carries the black rubberized screen lid with ThinkPad logo, still offers the shiny matte-black chassis and palmrest, and still uses the strong and highly visible stainless steel screen hinges. Those are the areas where the similarities stop. The port layout has significantly changed to allow an increase in available ports and even a few new types of connections. Once opened, ThinkPad fans will notice that Lenovo finally centered the screen, so no more thick bezel on one side and a thin bezel on the other. Another change is the shift from a two-piece palmrest and keyboard bezel on older models to one-piece design that is stronger and has fewer gaps to squeak. The bottom has also changed--with a user-access panel being the biggest addition--to let users install more RAM or a wireless card without tearing apart the notebook.
Build quality is a touchy subject for anyone familiar with the ThinkPad brand and how it has changed over the years. Any change to the sacred ThinkPad is seen as negative, even if it results in a stronger notebook. The good news is that overall the redesigned chassis in the T410 still feels as strong as ever ... but the bad news is a few specific areas did lose some strength compared to past ThinkPads. The screen lid seems weaker on the left side which allows pressure applied to the lid to show through as distortion on the LCD. Only the left side of the screen cover shows this distortion but it is still more than past models. Another item is the access panel on the bottom of the notebook that is designed to let users access one of the system memory slots and an open mini-PCIe slot. This is easily the weakest part on the entire notebook ... bowing slightly when installed and flexing more than any surrounding panel. I really wish Lenovo went with a metal panel even if it slightly increased the overall weight of the notebook.
Access to internal components has improved over past models with the T410 no longer needing to have the palmrest removed to upgrade the memory. With the latest redesign Lenovo moved the RAM to the center of the notebook. One slot is accessible through the bottom of the chassis with the access panel removed and the other is underneath the keyboard. The keyboard easily comes out after you remove two screws and slide it out of position. For the average person this makes user upgrades much less complex. As always the hard drive has its own access panel which is removed with a single screw.
Screen and Speakers
The screens offered on the ThinkPad T410 have changed very little compared to ones offered on the T400. The biggest difference is all T410 models come standard with LED-backlighting. With that said we didn’t notice any decrease or increase for that matter in the quality of the displays. The WXGA+ screen on the T410 with dedicated graphics offers good color reproduction with better than average contrast. The WXGA screen on the T410 with integrated graphics also has good color reproduction and contrast but it has a slight blue tint compared to a neutral white on the WXGA+ panel. Backlight levels are stronger on the WXGA panel when both panels are set to the same brightness level. Viewing angles were similar for each notebook with most colors starting to distort and invert when tilted 15-20 degrees back. Horizontal viewing angles were better with colors staying accurate even from steep angles.
The onboard speakers sounded better than average for a business notebook. They were able to get loud enough to fill a small room but bass and midrange was still lacking. For the daily video conference or watching YouTube during a break they should be more than adequate for the intended market. Headphones for travel are also high on the list of must-have accessories.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The T410 has the same redesigned keyboard that we saw debut on the T400s. It has a new function key layout with keys such as the Escape and Delete buttons increased in size while also added a backlit power button and microphone mute button. Another new feature which is located in the BIOS is Lenovo allows you to swap the function and control keys through software if you happen to be one of those people that enjoy the control key being the last key in the row.
The ThinkPad keyboard is still comfortable to type on for hours without creating too much hand strain. The redesigned keyboard has a few tweaks compared to previous models; narrower spacing between keys to lessen the chance of crumbs getting in and a softer typing feel. The softer and quieter typing feedback actually caused some typing troubles since I would type lighter on the keyboard and not fully activate keys. Once you got used to the difference it wasn’t a problem but for those first mistyped passwords it was really annoying.
The touchpad is a textured Synaptics model that is very spacious to handle multi-finger gestures. The T410 supports two-finger scrolling, rotating, and zooming, as well as three-finger press and flick. In general use the touchpad is easy to use with no discernible lag and a very fast refresh rate. The acceleration speeds on both axes were equal… so drawing a fast circle didn’t result in an oval shape. The textured surface was easy to slide across in daily use even if your fingers were slightly damp. The touchpad buttons were easy to use and very comfortable to click. They offered a long throw with a soft clicking action that didn’t emit any noise when fully pressed.
Ports and Features
Port selection on the new T410 is excellent and a huge improvement over previous models. Lenovo added an additional USB port, added FireWire, added eSATA (for compatible models), and even tossed in a DisplayPort connection for digital video out without needing to use a docking station. In total this makes the ThinkPad T410 one of the most feature-rich 14” notebooks on the market, with four USB ports, VGA-out, DisplayPort-out, combo audio jack, modem, LAN, FireWire-400, optional eSATA, as well as an optional SmartCard slot. The T410 also has a SDHC-card slot and ExpressCard/34 slot for expansion.

MSI G Series GT683R 242US V1 15 6 Inch Laptop Review
Review Samsung X22
Samsung has produced some great laptop designs of late and the X22 continues this style with a semi-lightweight machine anticipated for power users on the move. As revealed by us on one of the articles earlier, we take this opportunity to share with you our experience with the Samsung X22 and hence a complete review on the product; let’s jump in to walk it.
Design
Other models that weve got to see from the cradle of Samsung have had a glossy finish but this most modern machine has a matt-black finish, which we felt was more durable. The 2.2kg chassis is condensed and feels tough to the touch. Its made from plastic so will definitely stand out to the rigors of time on the road.
Performance
When it primes up to performance, this is a striking machine compressed in a compact design. Youll discover an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 chip, which clocks at 2.2GHz and punches the raw dual-core power. Backed with 1GB of memory, we found this laptop could handle any task we set it forward too. Right from editing photos to running manifold tasks, with no real signs of slowing down. The 160GB hard drive is a little standard for the price.
Open the reassuringly solid hood and youll stumble on a 14.1-inch Super-TFT screen. Its not the brightest of panels but we found it spiky enough for office works during the day and watching the odd movie over the night. An integrated camera sits right above the display. The keyboard is of a real good handy size and compiles the main body of the machine. We found the keys to be highly responsive enough and comfortable to employ. The touchpad and mouse buttons are also of a good decent size and easy to utilize. Considering the hyper portable capabilities of the X22 we were hoping this would be a real great machine to take on the road. Sadly, the result of the commanding specification is a rather pedestrian and lower graded battery life. Even in Vistas Power Saver mode we only scraped to achieve as little as mere 2 hours from the battery. Run this laptop in Performance mode and its drastically lesser battery life than that. When it comes to graphics, the dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400, which as the name suggests, offers hold up for high-def sources.
Other accessories comprise a dual-format DVD rewriter, which supports Light Scribe so you can make your own labels directly scribbled on to the disc.
Taking into consideration the power on offer here, we were satisfied with how cool the system ran, only getting noticeably warm after prolonged usage for a couple of hours. At the asking price of £880 this is an impressively multitalented laptop.
Overall
The Samsung X22 is an influential and portable machine that misses out on Hot-shot Product status only because its battery life is less than idyllic. If, however, battery life is not a botheration, then this is a great all-round laptop at an excellent bargain price.
Pros
+ Ultra Portable
+ Good speed
+ Light scribe feature
+ Amazing value for money
Cons
- Poor Battery

Fujitsu U810 Ultraportable Tablet Review
Full review of Fujitsu U810 Ultraportable Tablet
Laptop + Ultra Mobile PC + Tablet = Fujitsu LifeBook U810. Think this mini-sub-tablet Ultra Mobile PC laptop as the Swiss army knife of ultra portable computing. This little thing has a functional keyboard that can flip the screen that becomes a tablet with full touch-screen capabilities. Weighing only 1.56lbs and measuring 6.75-in x 6-in x 1-in, the Lifebook U810 is certainly is absolutely tiny, especially when you consider its a fully Vista-capable computer running inside.
The U810 can turn into 3 setups: laptop, tablet, or UMPC modes. Swivel and flip the screen over, and the device can be used as a UMPC (Ultra mobile portable computer). You can pull out the stylus and use it as a portable tablet. For a tiny machine, expect a tiny 56-key QWERTY keyboard that you can (barely) use if you find you need to type as a laptop. As you may expect, due to the size, its missing a lot key connection ports like: VGA output, expansion slots, and a half dozen USB ports. Instead, youll get one USB 2.0 port, SD media slot AND Compact Flash slots on either sides, a connection port to connect a Fujitsus Ethernet dongle and accessories. The remaining ports include the charger, headphone and microphone ports.
Intels mobile A110 processor found in other mobile devices (Smart phones and UMPCS) and runs at a modest 800MHz coupled with the Intel 945 chipset. Also includes 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a 4200RPM 40GB hard drive. The 5.6-inch LCD screen (1024 x 600) is a sharp little glossy display with accurate touch-screen functionality that gives the imot plenty of flexibility to work with. Feel free to swivel and rotate the screen. Thankfully, the U810 is able to offer 802.11a/b/g WiFi, a finger-print access, and built-in webcam.
Performance
The Fujitsu comes pre-installed with Microsoft Vista. What does that mean? The load times are downright atrocious, taking up to 2 minutes to get to the desktop screen when powering up. Its so slow that by the time Vista is fully ready to use, you already feel like the computer has already drained half the battery. However, things run much better as we noticed no slow down in web browsing and general desktop usages. The Fujitsu U810 managed only an average 3 hours of battery time running mixed video, web browsing, and data entry. Thats very disappointing for a machine of this size.
Conclusion
All all in one portable machine designed to offer mobile users to work, its certainly not perfect. With the lack of some ports and poor performance, its not ideal for users who demand power. Rather, its designed for casual users who need more than just a PDA. For those looking for a versatile portable computer, this is worth it. But if you dont mind having something bigger, go for a real tablet PC or ultra-portable laptop.

The design of the Samsung N150 is, in a word, "average" for a modern netbook. The matte black exterior combined with a burgandy red stripe of color around the edges delivers a simple consumer-oriented netbook appearance with a touch of business class. The plastics used in the construction of the chassis are high quality enough to avoid creaking sounds when you squeeze the netbook, but the plastics are thin enough that you feel that netbook flexing under the pressure of your fingertips.
The screen lid provides a similar level of protection when compared to the plastics in the rest of the netbook. If you press firmly on the back of the display you will start to see distortions on the screen, but the lid is strong enough to protect the display while the N150 rattles around in your briefcase or purse. The N150 feels relative sturdy when the netbook is completely closed and the screen hinges offer enough resistance to make you feel like youre getting your moneys worth. On the inside the keyboard feels solid in its tray with very little flex or movement. The palmrest also holds up well, although if you have adult-sized hands your palms will hang over the front edge of the netbook and almost rest on your lap or the desk surface depending on where you work.
Taking a look at the bottom of the Samsung N150 reveals this is one of the least upgrade-friendly netbooks weve seen. Most netbooks have one massive access panel on the bottom of the laptop or two smaller panels that allow you to remove the RAM and the the hard drive in order to upgrade these components yourself. The N150 only features a small panel over the RAM slot allowing you to upgrade the RAM. Accessing the hard drive and wireless cards requires you to completely disassemble the netbook.
That being said, its doubtful that the majority of people buying this netbook from Verizon will upgrade any component ... even adding a 2GB stick of RAM is unlikely for most N150 owners.

Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 Tablet Review
Fujitsu wants to jump on the bandwagon is moving at full speed with its Q550 style and take some market share. The company wants to deal specifically with the companys customers, in line with the tablet compared to consumer devices.
In addition to a fingerprint sensor, there is a SmartCard slot, the Advanced theft protection (ATP) and TPM (Trusted Platform) is installed. Taking into account the object and longed for an easy integration of existing IT infrastructure, Fujitsu is based on Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, including the included stylus to input interface.
The non-reflective 10.1-inch multi-touch screen has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio and can be used either with a finger or stylus. It has a battery and the system automatically detects when the user interacts with it. Thus, one hand on the screen, without triggering an action, for example.
The new Z670 Intel Atom single-core processor (Camino range of oak) with a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz and the GMA 600 graphics work units in Q550. The package is completed with the given WLAN, Bluetooth and a memory capacity of 30 SSD, 62 GB, respectively. Of course, a 3G UMTS module is also available for a fee.
Among the many features that are not really cheap and admission is first possible from € 699 (RRP), including value added. Tablet consumption comparable with Apple or Android IOS are also much cheaper and offers an improved user interface. We have audited the qualities and the daily use of the Fujitsu Stylistic Q550.

A good standard is given in the form of interfaces. Apart from an SD card slot and a USB 2.0 port, expandable via a hub, theres also an HDMI output installed. According to the spec chart, it supports the revision 1.3. However, a modern television with an interface connected 1.4a in function test (backward). In addition to two microphones, there is also a jack 3.5 mm stereo installed. But this is not a combo port for headphones - it only allows the transmission of sound.
The docking port at the back is rewarding because it allows the use of a port replicator or a docking station. The adjacent side event overwhelms us with an armada of sliders and control buttons. Besides the possibility of returning the unit on and off, and management of mobile technologies, there are three small buttons. They allow you to fade into the keyboard, rotate 90 degrees in both directions and access the Task Manager screen, open the combination "CTRL + ALT + FLSR" key on a laptop.
Performance
With the stylistic Q550, Fujitsu is the first manufacturer to offer a tablet that is based on Intel Oak Trail. And specially designed for tablets and ultra-thin devices, which are forced to work without a separate cooling unit. Intel Atom Z670 SoC (system-on-a-chip) is used here was introduced in 2011 Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in Beijing for the first time. The processor is one of the main current of the solution (1-core, 2 threads) with the transformation Lincroft core, 1.5 GHz clock speed and 512 KB of L2 cache.
The second component is the SM35 chipset, also known as Whitney Point, which implements the Intel GMA 600 graphics, HD audio, SATA 2, HDMI support and integration of DDR2 memory. As the platform for netbooks Pine Trail, including, for example, the Intel Atom N550 or N570, the SoC Z670 is made in a structure of 45 nm wide. However, the next generation Atom processor technology for manufacturing 32-nanometer called Cedar Trail was introduced at the same time.
The calculation of the line Maxon Cinebench R10 multi (34 bit) is a popular reference for verifying the performance of the processor. The tablet Q550 managed only 537 points lower in this trial and is well beaten at the end of our database, where all of a netbook with a high-end laptop is.
Despite their high performance profile, netbooks with the latest hardware is clearly an advantage. Two examples include the Asus Eee PC 1015PEM with an Intel Atom N550, and slightly less than 522 Acer Aspire netbook with AMD C-50 APU. These settings are nominally faster 64.3%, respectively, 58.5% with a score of 1.504 and 1.294 points.
Intel GMA 600 (PowerVR SGX) 3D performance is not convincing, either. It bad enough 3DMark05 only 253 points earlier. However, Intel GMA 3150 Mini new laptop is not really stronger than average, and the only one to reach 294 points, which is a bit more than 14%. AMD C-50 APU, dual-core solution for entry-level sector can clearly excel in this field stronger than the AMD Radeon HD 6250 Performance Plus is an apparent average of 90.3% can be 2599 points.
Futuremark benchmark system, provides punishment of small performances. Tablet reach 1191 points in PCMark Vantage general and can be found in the last places in our database. Several mini-notebook with a little old Intel Atom are nearby.
The tablet at the last available place, behind the mini-notebook AMD C-50 APU, the new PCMark 7 All in all not a very impressive performance for a device with the Windows operating system.
Of course, a look on the shelf many references, respectively browser should not be omitted in this test. Compared to existing devices with Android and the leader, Apple iPad 2, the Q550 over the range of superior performance in this test.
The plane left all the tablets based on Android or IOS clearly behind the benchmark in Google V8. With a score of 1601 points, the difference with the Asus Eee next fastest TF101 Transformer Pad is 57.3% (683 points). The iPad is only two of Cupertino in the middle of field with 355 points. Reduces lead SunSpider JavaScript benchmark and the test device is in the center. Finally, mention the 1653 Futuremark benchmarks Peacekeeper browser and therefore a similar investment. Its screen can be found in the appendix.

NVIDIA Project SHIELD Tegra 4 CES 2013
NVIDIA Untethers Gaming With Project SHIELD
Created with the philosophy that gaming should be open and flexible, Project SHIELD flawlessly plays both Android and PC titles. As a pure Android device, it gives access to any game on Google Play. And as a wireless receiver and controller, it can stream games from a PC powered by NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX GPUs, accessing titles on its STEAM game library from anywhere in the home.
"Project SHIELD was created by NVIDIA engineers who love to game and imagined a new way to play," said Jen-Hsun Huang, co-founder and chief executive officer at NVIDIA. "We were inspired by a vision that the rise of mobile and cloud technologies will free us from our boxes, letting us game anywhere, on any screen. We imagined a device that would do for games what the iPod and Kindle have done for music and books, letting us play in a cool new way. We hope other gamers love SHIELD as much as we do."
Project SHIELD combines the advanced processing power of NVIDIA Tegra® 4, breakthrough game-speed Wi-Fi technology and stunning HD video and audio built into a console-grade controller. It can be used to play on its own integrated screen or on a big screen, and on the couch or on the go.
Tegra 4 at Its Heart
At the core of Project SHIELD is the worlds fastest mobile processor, the new NVIDIA Tegra 4, which delivers enormous power from its custom 72-core GeForce GPU and the first quad-core application of ARMs most advanced CPU core, the Cortex-A15. These, combined with its battery-saver core and energy-saving PRISM 2 technology, deliver hours of gameplay on a single charge.
Windows and Android Games
Windows and Android are the worlds most successful computing platforms, with massive ecosystems of system and software developers. While not specifically designed for gaming, both open platforms have drawn gamers by the millions. Project SHIELD is designed to allow them to enjoy Android and Windows games in a new, exciting way.
Project SHIELD can instantly download Android games, including Android-optimized titles available on NVIDIAs TegraZone™ game store, which has already delivered more than 6 million downloads to gamers. It can also be used as a wireless game receiver to a nearby PC equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 GPU or higher.
Console-Grade Controller
Project SHIELDs ergonomic controller was built for the gamer who wants ultimate control and precision.
Retinal Gaming Display
Brilliant gameplay and video are provided by Project SHIELDs integrated 5-inch, 1280x720 HD retinal multitouch display, with 294 dpi. Plus, Tegra 4 with Direct Touch technology gives it touch responsiveness that is a more consistent, accurate and smooth-flowing touch input experience than a standard touch device.
Tuned Port, Bass Reflex Portable Speaker System
Deep, rich audio is critical for a great gaming experience. And Project SHIELD provides fidelity and dynamic range never before available on a portable device, through its custom, bass reflex, tuned port audio system -- with twice the low-frequency output of high-end laptops.
Project SHIELD can also access Android apps such as Hulu, Netflix and Slacker Radio, so users can enjoy their movies and music anywhere without expensive, clumsy wired or wireless speakers.
Support by Leading Industry Analyst
Patrick Moorhead, president and lead analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said: "The market has waited years for a breakthrough gaming device that offers the flexibility, quality and total enjoyment of Project SHIELD. Few companies other than NVIDIA have the vision, guts and deep gaming experience to have pulled this off."
Support by Leading Game Developers
Yves Guillemot, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ubisoft, said: "Ubisoft is always excited about new hardware developments, and Project SHIELD promises to bring both mobile and PC gamers a great new gaming experience. Seeing the PC version of Assassins Creed III run on the device is a great example of this, and further strengthens Ubisofts long-standing relationship with NVIDIA."
Mark Rein, vice president and co-founder of Epic Games, said: "With Project SHIELD, NVIDIA brings an uncompromising, high-performance console experience to mobile devices. Amazing games including Real Boxing and Hawken, which utilize the latest Unreal Engine technology, look fantastic on Project SHIELD. This is just the beginning, and were truly excited to see what more Unreal Engine developers will do with so much horsepower in such a compact gaming device."
Bill Wagner, chief production officer at Meteor Entertainment, said: "Coming from the openness of a PC platform, we love how accessible Project SHIELD is, and the flexibility it gives gamers everywhere. Project SHIELD gives us the cutting-edge ability to bring a huge free-to-play PC game like Hawken to the handheld gaming audience."
